The true meaning & purpose of life is only to be found within one’s own heart
– in the mystical experience of moving in perfect synchronization
with all that is.
Richard Rudd
my name is Gina,
daughter to Jane & Peter,
granddaughter to Margaret & John, Enid & Jack.
I live
on the outskirts of beautiful Gresswell Forest with my partner Nick, our cats Puss & Handsome, and our miniature daschund (& resident comedienne) Elli.
I love
the smell of Jasmine flowers, the feeling of the earth under my feet, the colours of the sky at sunrise & sunset, laughter, connection, and dancing my heart out to music that moves my body & my soul.
my background
started with Tibetan Buddhism, as my parents were/are both students of Lama Thubten Yeshe & Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and met at Tara Institute in the 80’s.
Being raised with Buddhist values such as loving kindness, compassion & respect for all life has shaped me as a person and has deeply influenced my work with children.
my educational journey
(officially) began in a Montessori primary school; took a few twists & turns, with many life lessons along the way; and then concluded at Lady Gowrie, Victoria
– the benchmark for Early Childhood Education.
I came away from my time at Gowrie with a Diploma in Children’s Services with High Distinction as my average mark.
Unofficially, but more significantly – being devoted to life, present with nature & consciously relating with the people I love continues to offer me soul curriculum that deepens my self responsibility & quest towards self mastery.
my work with children
was already underway when I was a child myself, with my first babysitting gig organically taking place when I was 7 years old.
After high school I started working in Long Day Care, where I quickly discovered that being with children was my genius & immediately began my Early Childhood studies.
Soon after receiving my Diploma I moved away from Centre based work & into the much more intimate role of Nannying – a decision that has nourished me & the many families I’ve been so blessed to work with for the last 17 years.

creativity & play
for me, are just as significant in adulthood as they were in childhood.
After much trial, error & honest self reflection (supported hugely by my recent immersion in Human Design – which has revolutionized how I see my creative process), I’ve discovered that whether or not creations “succeed” or not, is miles from the point –
what makes creation joyful, is that it feels playful & light…
the purpose of creation is simply creation itself!
this might look like
stopping to take photos of clouds, flowers, leaves, reflections, shadows & light,
illustrating children’s stories written by a friend (one day to be published!),
compiling collaborative music playlists with friends & our community,
setting up a very humble online secondhand homewares shop,
or creating (& offering) simple websites like this –
for me, playing in the field of creation is 100% where it’s at ♡
dance
is one of my most ecstatic & authentic joys in life.
For ten years, from the age of 8, I studied contemporary dance with choreographer Sylvia Forbes – a lifelong friend – during which we performed at venues such as the Victorian Collage of Arts & Dance House.
From 18 onwards & all through my 20’s, the dancefloors at clubs, festivals & forest parties were my happy place – these days, it’s all about my personal dance practice & celebrating with friends whenever we feel the call.
music
inspires me, uplifts me & unifies me with the blissful medicine of dance.
Some of my fondest memories of childhood involved taping music from local dance radio stations onto cassette (or playing a Louis Prima tape from my Grandpa Jack) & thrashing around the house with my walkman to the tunes & beats that made dancing non-negotiable.
Now, at 37 years old, all that’s really changed is the technology..!
dance freedom collective
is a collaborative creation celebrating the power of music & dance.
In the catalyst of 2020, this manifested as impromptu dance parties via FB watch parties & Zoom, leading to multi-day online music festivals organized by the DFC dream team (me & two of my closest girlfriends), featuring music shared by our worldwide DFC community.
Now, whenever we feel inspired to revisit our collaborations, the DFC playlists continue to connect us: so that no matter our physical distance, music & dance unites us, and allows us to share a collective dancefloor through time & space.
HempWeb.Earth
is my biggest visionary work.
In 2017 a vivid dream landed in my mind, heart & field, of a very different human world – brought into being through a platform that would connect every aspect of the Hemp Industry with a focus on transparency & integrity…
Ultimately HW.E would become a hub for incredible innovation, self sustaining communities, & a human world that works in sacred communion with the Earth.
So much work went into bringing this frequency into form, but I blew myself out in the process, and only now – after years of giving the project (& my own nervous system) much needed space – am I feeling ready to lay the energetic foundations for the next chapter of HW.E to begin…
Now, she feels spacious – slowly & steadily recalibrating – coming out of hibernation – in the midst of a sacred rebirth…
I know there are souls out there who have heard her call, & are the ones here to be part of her rebirth, her operations & her impact.
If you can feel her in your heart, too.. I’m quite sure you know what to do ♡
