High Quality, Down to Earth
Nanny Share + Sole Care Experiences

for Children of all ages

When we take care of our children’s emotional needs
& ensure that their hearts are soft,
nature will take care of the rest

Dr Deborah Macnamara

For over 17 years

I’ve been doing the most fulfilling work I could imagine – being of loving service to children & their families, providing them with the highest quality care I can.

For many years my role as a nanny looked like long & consistent hours, but these days my schedule is much more varied, with shorter hours, more families & oftentimes multiple families at once.

Down to Earth Adventures

are the vibe, these days.

For the most part, when children & I are together, we adventure.

Sometimes using their house as a base, sometimes my house, & sometimes we roam free the entire time –
walking, riding, using the pram (I have a double!), catching buses & trams & trains,
(& sometimes using my car, depending on the situation)
visiting forests, playgrounds, museums & nature reserves.

My philosophy

is of devotion & loving service;
establishing genuine friendships with children & families,
empowering children to discover who they are in a safe & loving environment,
offering guidance from the heart,
setting clear boundaries,
communicating openly & effectively,

and
modelling qualities such as curiosity,
compassion,
clear communication,
presence,
fun,
honesty,
kindness,
& respect for life.

It is my sincerest honour to be of service in this way

Authentic connection is our foundation,

& from this honest, heart to heart, real human place,
incredible growth, learning, scaffolding,
expansion & self reflection
naturally occurs.

When we feel safe,

we flourish.

When we feel heard,

we confidently claim our voice.

When we feel loved,

our own self love & love for others
& life, deepens.

This is the North Star that guides my way,
in my work & beyond.

In home care & home-based support

can also be another big part of my role, whenever required.

Being welcomed into

& entrusted with the care of someone’s home as well as their children is a beautiful (& intimate) thing –

wherever possible (& it’s almost always possible – except maybe nanny sharing multiple toddlers!), I endeavor to leave the homes I work in feeling refreshed & renewed by the end of our time together, as I know what a difference our external environment has on our internal state of being (and how easy it is to prioritize everything else when you have a family!)

My goal is always

to offer my full presence to children,
to make life easier for parents
& to walk away from my time with clients knowing I have provided something of real value to the family as a whole.

This can look like any average
playful, musical, explorative day with children,
– and –
it can go much deeper..

I’ve supported families

through major transitions & experiences such as
pregnancies, births & welcoming new babies into the home;
the beginning of kinder & school;
seasonal long distance parenting;
serious illnesses, hospital visits & post-procedural care;
the passing of loved ones, grief & emotional processes;
the lead up to & diagnoses of neurodiversity;
moving house;
& myriad other challenges & emotional processes
also known as life
